WASHINGTON, D.C. -- Today, Congresswoman Jacky Rosen (NV-03) introduced the Jobs, Not Waste Act. This legislation would prohibit the Secretary of Energy from taking any action relating to the licensing, planning, development, or construction of a nuclear waste repository at Yucca Mountain until the Director of the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) submits a study to Congress on the economic viability and job-creating benefits of alternative uses of the Yucca Mountain site.

WASHINGTON, D.C. -- Today, Congresswoman Jacky Rosen (NV-03) responded to the news that the Trump Administration will impose a 30 percent tariff on imported solar panels, a move that threatens to handicap a $28 billion industry that relies on parts made abroad for 80 percent of its supply.
WASHINGTON, D.C. – Congresswoman Jacky Rosen (NV-03), a member of the House Armed Services Committee, sent a letter to House Armed Services Committee Chairman Mac Thornberry and Ranking Member Adam Smith urging them not to advance the Nuclear Waste Policy Amendments Act of 2017 (H.R. 3053) because of military concerns around Nellis Air Force Base. The bill would resurrect Yucca Mountain and make Nevada the nation’s nuclear waste dumping ground.
