Rep. Jacky Rosen (NV-03) attends a wreath-laying ceremony on National Vietnam War Veterans Day.

LAS VEGAS, NV -- Today, Congresswoman Jacky Rosen (NV-03), a member of the House Armed Services Committee, honored the memories of the brave men and women who sacrificed their lives during the Vietnam War at a wreath-laying ceremony in Las Vegas. March 29th is the national day of remembrance for those who served in the Vietnam War.

“An essential part of caring for our veterans is honoring their valiant service to our country,” said Rosen. “Today we remember the sacrifices that our veterans made during the Vietnam War, and we give these heroes and their families the recognition they deserve. In Congress, I will never stop advocating for the thousands of Nevada veterans who call my district home to receive the health care and benefits they've earned through their service.”

BACKGROUND: Rep. Rosen is a co-sponsor of several bills to help improve veterans' health care and most recently introduced legislation to improve the Veterans Choice Program. In January, Rosen helped introduce a bipartisan bill with Rep. Bruce Westerman (R-AR) to improve compensation to Vietnam-era veterans exposed to toxic herbicide substances in Thailand.
