REP. ROSEN HELPS RETURN MORE THAN $720,000 IN FEDERAL MONEY TO NEVADA CONSTITUENTS THIS YEAR
WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, Congresswoman Jacky Rosen (NV-03) announced that her office has returned more than $720,000 from federal agencies to her constituents in Nevada’s Third Congressional District.
“Nothing is more important to me than helping my constituents access the services they need and navigate the challenges of dealing with the federal government,” said Rosen. “From helping our veterans receive the benefits they’ve earned, to ensuring our seniors get timely responses from the Social Security Administration, my Las Vegas district office has already resolved a number of issues for constituents. While many of the cases handled by my district office in Las Vegas have involved the VA, my staff also regularly works with other federal agencies to assist with citizenship and immigration concerns, problems with Medicare and Medicaid, and housing issues. I am proud of the work my staff has done this year for people who count on us to be their advocate, and I look forward to seeing my office’s continued results on behalf of Southern Nevada.”
BACKGROUND: Over the last year, Congresswoman Rosen’s district office has helped constituents with a range of issues, including assisting veterans with obtaining their VA benefits that were stalled for months in a backlog of claims. Rosen’s district office successfully returned $724,387 for constituents -- with $718,987 of that total awarded to veterans.
