ROSEN APPLAUDS HHS GRANT TO PREVENT CHILDHOOD LEAD POISONING
LAS VEGAS, NV - Today, Congresswoman Jacky Rosen (NV-03) released a message of support, applauding the U.S Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) in conjunction with the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) as well as the National Center for Environmental Health (NCEH) for awarding a grant of $268,750 to the Nevada Childhood Lead Poisoning Prevention Program (NVCLPP).
"The safety and well-being of my constituents is a top priority. As we’ve seen in the news in recent years, lead poisoning is a real and dangerous threat that can be especially harmful to developing children. As a parent, I'm glad the Department of Health and Human Services is providing these resources that will help Nevada ensure our children are leading healthy lives. I will fight for our state's fair share in federal funding to ensure the public safety of Nevada families and children.”
