ROSEN APPLAUDS HOMELESS ASSISTANCE GRANT TO CLARK COUNTY
WASHINGTON, D.C. -- Today, Congresswoman Jacky Rosen (NV-03) applauded the Department of Housing and Urban Development for awarding a Continuum of Care grant of $13.59 million to homeless assistance programs in Clark County.
“The Continuum of Care program provides charities with the tools they need to provide assistance for those facing homelessness, and this latest grant from HUD for Clark County is just one of many examples of that mission,” said Rosen. “Southern Nevada is among the nation’s highest in homeless population, and the number of unsheltered homeless individuals continues to rise. I will continue to support legislation to help aid those in need of housing and call for funding that helps provide a hand up to our most vulnerable citizens.”
BACKGROUND: The proceeds from this Department of Housing and Urban Development grant will help fund 29 projects in Clark County, Nevada, with more than $13 million in total funds.
