ROSEN CONDEMNS NORTH KOREA AS STATE SPONSOR OF TERRORISM, STANDS UP FOR DEMOCRATIC ALLIES
WASHINGTON, DC - Today, Congresswoman Jacky Rosen (NV-03) released the following statement after co-sponsoring H. Res 92, condemning North Korea's development of multiple intercontinental ballistic missiles, and voting for H.R. 479, which designates North Korea as a terrorist sponsor:
“Standing up for democratic values and defending our allies around the world means condemning bad state actors when we see that they are an imminent threat to our national security and global safety, ” said Congresswoman Jacky Rosen.
“Both North Korea and Iran are dangerous and have tried to escalate tensions on a global scale by testing their ballistic missile programs. We cannot let this type of instigation become the new norm. We must support our democratic allies against these rogue states. I was happy to see Israel deploy its new missile defense system, David’s Sling, which will help bridge the gap between the Iron Dome and the Arrow,” continued Rosen.
“We must stand with our allies who are under constant threat by state-sponsored terrorists.”
H.Res 92, co-sponsored by Congresswoman Rosen, passed the House today by a vote of 398 to 3. H.R. 479 passed the House today by a vote of 394 to 1.
