ROSEN CONDEMNS PRESIDENT’S “UNPATRIOTIC AND UTTERLY SHAMEFUL” ATTACK ON TRANSGENDER TROOPS

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, Congresswoman Jacky Rosen (NV-03), a member of the House Armed Services Committee, released the following statement in response to President Trump’s latest announcement to effectively ban transgender servicemembers from serving in the military:

“The President and his Administration are dishonoring the brave individuals who put their lives on the line to defend our freedoms and protect our core American values,” said Rosen. “Anyone who puts on a uniform to serve this country deserves our deepest gratitude. This level of bigotry and disrespect is unpatriotic and utterly shameful.  As a member of the House Armed Services committee, I could not be more proud to stand up for our troops. I will fight this hateful and discriminatory attack on our fellow Americans and against this Administration's nonstop assault on members of our LGTBQ community.”
