Press Release

WASHINGTON, D.C. -- Today, Congresswoman Jacky Rosen (NV-03), a member of the Problem Solvers Caucus, released the following statement after the Congressional Budget Office (CBO) released their analysis of the Alexander-Murray bill to stabilize the health insurance marketplace. According to the independent budget analysts, this bipartisan legislation would cut the federal deficit by $3.8 billion while keeping coverage stable.

“With President Trump purposefully working to undermine our nation’s health care system, Democrats and Republicans in Congress must take it upon ourselves to work with each other to stabilize health care markets,” said Rosen. “The CBO's nonpartisan analysis reaffirms why this bipartisan health care agreement is the right way forward -- this legislation will help keep coverage affordable for hardworking Nevada families while reducing the deficit. This deal is our best path forward right now to prevent our health care system from unraveling and protect affordable health care for Nevada families. I urge Republican leaders in Washington to put partisan politics and ideological differences aside so we can focus on protecting health care for millions of Americans.
