ROSEN STATEMENT ON REPORTS OFF TRUMP COMPROMISING U.S. INTELLIGENCE ON ISIS
WASHINGTON, DC – Congresswoman Jacky Rosen (NV-03) released the following statement following reports by the Washington Post and New York Times about President Trump revealing code-word classified intelligence on ISIS to Russian Foreign Minister Lavrov and Ambassador Kislyak:
"If reports concerning President Trump sharing code-word classified intelligence information are true, then the President has not only endangered our troops, intelligence officials, and sources who work with us on the ground on gathering information, but he's made it more difficult for our allies to trust and collaborate with us on defeating ISIS.
“The role of the Commander in Chief is one that should be taken seriously. This is an incredible responsibility - one that should never result in the President compromising our most sensitive and highly classified information, especially to a foreign adversary.
"Congress must receive a full, immediate briefing on what transpired between the President and Russian officials."
