ROSEN STATEMENT ON TRUMP-PUTIN SUMMIT

WASHINGTON, D.C. -- Today, Congresswoman Jacky Rosen (NV-03), a Member of the House Armed Services Committee, released the following statement in response to President Trump’s press conference in Helsinki with Russian President Vladimir Putin:

“President Trump’s weak, embarrassing performance at the Helsinki Summit highlights again how far he'll go to let Vladimir Putin walk all over our democracy. Instead of vowing to hold the Kremlin accountable for disrupting our elections in 2016, President Trump placed his trust in a foreign adversary and publicly undermined the U.S. intelligence community. The President failed to hold Russia accountable when it mattered most.”
