ROSEN VOTES AGAINST BRINGING REPUBLICANS’ DISASTROUS TAX BILL TO CONFERENCE

December 4, 2017
Press Release

WASHINGTON, D.C. -- Today, Congresswoman Jacky Rosen (NV-03) voted against the motion to go to conference on the Republican tax bill:

“The Republican tax plan will slam many hardworking families in Nevada with a tax increase over time and spike their health care premiums, just so billionaires and giant corporations can receive an unnecessary tax cut,” said Rosen. “This reckless plan will add more than $1 trillion to our national debt and could trigger devastating cuts to Medicare and other critical programs, mortgaging our nation's future so Republican politicians can put more money in the pockets of their wealthy donors. I refuse to support this charade and will continue to call for bipartisan legislation that creates a simpler, fairer tax code that actually helps the middle class and is designed to reduce the debt, create jobs, and grow Nevada's economy.”
